Virgen de Guadalupe feast day + Turista Libre holiday party
Queen of Mexico. Empress of the Americas. Lupe, my homegirl. Her titles may be many, but her precedence south of the border is second to none. Join us in celebrating the annual feast day of Our Lady of Guadalupe, as the people of Tijuana take to the streets to honor the nation's patron saint with processions, prayers and parades. We'll start with a pilgrimage to what's arguably the most impressive Guadalupe statue in the city, followed by a visit to Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe Cathedral in downtown Tijuana. And, as this day marks the official kickoff of the holiday season in Mexico, the day's itinerary includes a posada holiday party complete with piñatas, punch, buñelos, rompope, games, regalos and more. Tickets include roundtrip border transport, lunch and dinner. The group meets on the U.S. side of the Pedwest border crossing at the Virginia Avenue Transit Center at 10 a.m., with an estimated return to the border at 6 p.m.
