The Balboa Park Museums offer free general admission on a rotation basis throughout each month. This is available to the residents of the City and County of San Diego, and active military personnel and their dependents. Can I use a wheelchair on the trails?
You can use a wheelchair and strollers on the North McCoy Trail. The trail is 1/3 mile long. It starts at the Visitor Center. You can access portions of the park via the main road and an adjacent accessible path if the main park road is closed.Does the reserve rent horses?
No, the Tijuana River National Estuarine Research Reserve does not rent horses. However, there are places in the Tijuana River Valley where you can rent them. Their operations change frequently. You can call the Visitor Center on 619-575-3613 for the latest information. - Helpful Links
